Privacy Policy

Last updated 10 September 2026

This policy explains what personal data is collected when you visit scelta.co.uk, why, and what rights you have. Scelta is a brand operated by Civil Visuals Limited, which is the data controller for this website.

1. Who we are

The controller of personal data collected through this website is Civil Visuals Limited (“we”, “us”), which operates the Scelta brand.

2. What this policy covers

This policy covers the public website at scelta.co.uk. Our interactive streaming configurator is provided separately to specific clients under its own access controls and is not part of this public website; where it processes personal data, that is covered by the agreement with the relevant client.

3. The data we collect

Information you choose to send us

If you email us using the address on the site, we receive your email address, any name you provide, and the contents of your message. We use this only to read and respond to your enquiry and to keep a record of our correspondence.

Configuring a vehicle and enquiries

Configuring a vehicle in the configurator does not require any personal data. If you choose to save a configuration, we store the vehicle specification you selected (paint, wheels, trim and similar choices) together with a randomly generated reference code so you or anyone you share the link with can reload the same vehicle later — this saved record contains no name, email, or other personal data, and is retrievable by anyone who has the exact code, in the same way a printed brochure or a shared document link would be.

If you choose to submit an enquiry ("Request More Information"), we additionally collect the name, email address, and optional phone number and message you provide, together with a reference to the vehicle specification above, so that we (or the dealer you are enquiring with) can respond to you about the specific car you configured. We use this only to handle your enquiry.

Technical data needed to deliver the site

This website is served through Cloudflare, our hosting and content delivery provider. To deliver pages securely and protect the site from abuse, Cloudflare processes limited request information on our behalf, including your IP address, browser user-agent string, the pages requested, and timestamps. This data is used for security, reliability and aggregate traffic measurement — not to identify you personally or to track you across other websites.

Analytics

Where analytics are enabled, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics — confirm before launch, which is privacy-focused: it does not use cookies, does not store or share any personal data, and does not fingerprint or track visitors across sites. It gives us only aggregate counts such as page views and referrers.

Fonts

The site’s display typeface is served from our own domain. No font or other static asset on the public site is loaded from a third-party provider, so visiting the site does not disclose your visit to any font host.

4. Cookies and local storage

The public website does not set any cookies, and does not use local storage, for analytics, advertising or tracking. Because no non-essential cookies or similar technologies are used, no cookie consent banner is shown. If this changes, this policy and the site will be updated and, where the law requires it, your consent will be requested first.

5. Legal bases for processing (UK GDPR)

6. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

7. International transfers

Some of our providers, including Cloudflare, are based outside the UK or operate global infrastructure. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, it is protected by an adequacy decision or by appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

8. How long we keep it

Enquiry correspondence, including configurator enquiries, is kept for no longer than retention period, e.g. 24 months after our last contact, unless we need to keep it longer for a legal or contractual reason, after which it is deleted. Saved vehicle configurations (which contain no personal data) are kept indefinitely so shared links continue to work, unless you ask us to delete a specific one. Cloudflare’s security and log data is retained only for the short periods set by Cloudflare.

9. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access a copy of your personal data, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have data erased, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability, in each case subject to the conditions in the law. To exercise any of these rights, contact hello@scelta.co.uk.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk), though we would appreciate the chance to address your concerns first.

10. Security

The site is served only over HTTPS. We keep the number of parties with access to enquiry correspondence to a minimum and rely on reputable providers with their own security programmes.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be made clear on the site.

12. Contact

Questions about this policy or your data: hello@scelta.co.uk, or by post to Civil Visuals Limited at registered office address — to supply.
